Put away your protest signs! It's not a confectionery jelly made out of wild critters, we promise.
During a Game Jam, a bunch of game developers get together and make games for 48 hours. It's a chance to work on what we love and meet other people doing the same. Game Jams are a great way to get a creative jolt, share ideas and to make new friends.
Anyone who's interested in making a game should come. You can work alone or in teams; everyone who has something to contribute is welcome!
The Full Indie Game Jam will be held at the Great Northern Way Campus Center for Digital Media, starting on Friday, June 17th. The event will start at 5pm and end at 8pm on Sunday.
You can park in the reserved spots in from of the Centre for Digital Media but you will need a free parking pass (see the organizers). You can also park for free along the Great Northern Way.
To cover the cost of food, drinks and running the event and world domination we're charging $25 per person.
Moving the mouse, looking at the screen and typing uses up lots of calories! That's ok, because we have your hunger taken care of.
We will order catered food and there will be coffee and tea available. You're welcome to bring your own food, as long as it's not something that's too messy.
We've got access to a classroom with WiFi, so we've got the Internet angle covered. You don 't have to worry about sockets either; there are plenty of them in the room that we're using.
You will need to bring your own computer and whatever else you use to make games.
There are 30 places available in total. SIGN UP HERE.
Space is limited, so sign up as soon as possible at our official Meetup.com group!
