ABOUT US

Founded in 2010, Full Indie is a Vancouver-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting our local game dev community. We aim to provide independent game creators with opportunities to demo their games, network with other indies, and learn from their community.

YOUR SAFETY

Full Indie values the safety of its members, and all attendees must adhere to our Safer Spaces guidelines.

HISTORY

In 2010, Jake Birkett and Alex Vostrov planned their first meetup for local game devs at a Yaletown bar. There were so many attendees that the venue couldn’t accommodate everyone, so people spilled out onto the sidewalk. Thus, the Vancouver Indie Game Developers group was born.

TEAM

ARYO NAZARADEH - President

Aryo spends most of his time as a video game sound designer and composer, yet somehow still finds time to geek out in other ways. He speaks 6 languages, is relentless during board games, leads competitive raid groups in ESO, and always admires good bike infrastructure.

ANDREW FERGUSON - Treasurer

Andrew makes weird art, loves shitposts, and listens to too much hyperpop. He’s also a co-founder of Vancouver Chipmusic Society , the President & comms director for Desert Bus For Hope, and the vice-president for the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival. His cat’s name is MySpace and she’s perfect.

VIVAY LI - Artist

After countless years of being told not to be an artist, Viv became an artist anyways. She creates illustrations and concept art for Fallout 76 and indie games. Viv finds great amusement in casual birdwatching and drawing fantasy creatures.

Formerly from Melbourne, Amelia made her way north to Vancouver in order to bolster her career in the video game industry. When she’s not working as an assistant producer for Sprung Studio’s UI/UX projects, you can find her judging official Magic the Gathering tournaments.
