Itching to share your indie game knowledge with Vancouver’s bustling game dev community? We welcome talk proposals from all aspects of game creation. Past talks have covered game design, marketing, art, sound, community management, and the workplace. Not only do we aim for diversity in our subject matter, we also aim for diversity in our speakers themselves. People of all backgrounds are invited to submit their proposals.

Our Summit features roughly ten talks in one day, on one stage. Unlike larger conferences, attendees will not be moving from talk to talk, so Summit talks should be comprehensible to an audience from a variety of disciplines.

Although we focus primarily on indie creators, we occasionally feature speakers from larger studios who can share insights that are also relevant to the indie community. One such example is the Recognize Exclusion, Design for Inclusion talk from Johnson, a member of Xbox’s Adaptive Controller team.

Talks are roughly 20 minutes long, so being concise is key. Strong presentation skills, visuals, and good slide pacing as just as valuable as the content itself.
